		<description>there are a number of libraries (both academic and public) that now have Facebook applications users can add that allow them to search the library catalog from their FB profile.  Like you say - go to them in their place.

We can&#039;t forget that there are many who still are not, either by choice, by necessity, or because the cyberworld still seems a mysterious and sometimes frightening place.  Whatever the reason, it can make things difficult, as you point out.
KRL does make it possible for anyone to tap into the web.  And the click! program will help anyone who wants an email account to set one up, whether or not they have a computer at home.  
I&#039;ve seen letters to the local media espousing the view that libraries should stick to being &quot;books on a shelf.&quot;  I would never want to see that go away, but providing access to email and the web for those who don&#039;t have it is also a valuable service.
